- ➤ At the end of 2025, about 20 Buddhist monks from the Huong Dao Vipassana Bhavana Center in Fort Worth arrived in Decatur with their rescue dog (Aloka) and drew thousands of locals as they continue a 2,300-mile walk from Texas to Washington, D.C. - ➤ Decatur approved over $100K in small business grants to help 19 local businesses upgrade their facilities in time for the World Cup Watch Fest at Decatur Square. The city allocated $200K for commercial improvements, and businesses can apply until Jan. 23. Atlanta News First
