  • Today, the MLK Day Service features an interfaith session where Rev.   • The annual MLK Day Service opened yesterday when Rev. Reginald Sharpe Jr. and Rev. Natosha Reid Rice welcomed attendees at New Horizon Baptist Church + Rev. Sean B. Smith led an invocation calling for unity and reflection on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s legacy.  Fox 5 Atlanta
  • Decatur Day organizers rallied on Jan. 16 at West Trinity Place to call for historic designation and preservation of a site sacred to Beacon Hill legacy residents amid opposition to an Early Childhood Learning Center planned by City Schools of Decatur. ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • Late Sunday night, fire crews responded to a blaze off North Druid Hills Road in DeKalb County that damaged three apartment units and left three residents temporarily without housing, and no injuries were reported.  FOX 5 Atlanta
  • Pastor Tamarkus Cook’s funeral home burned on Sunday afternoon, but after rescuing remains in his care he plans to continue serving the community by rebuilding and resuming operations.  Fox 5 Atlanta
