Good morning, Decatur.

Drivers in Decatur are advised to check their vehicle coolant systems as a potential winter storm approaches and may cause freezing temperatures.

Kurt Von Schilling’s team at Take 5 off I-20 will remain open all weekend for a quick coolant exchange — a preventive measure against radiator damage.

Georgia officials pretreated about 18,000 lane miles on key routes serving Decatur — crews aim to keep roads safe as the region braces for a dangerous ice storm that could cause power outages and travel disruptions.

An ice storm is causing 1,010 flight cancellations for today at Hartsfield-Jackson airport as of 8:30 p.m. Saturday, and meteorologists warn travelers in metro Atlanta & north Georgia to expect delays.
