King announced a 5% rate cut for Allstate’s private auto policies filed early this week that is expected to save about $17.7 million in 2026 for tens of thousands of drivers across the state.

A new affordable senior living community opened Thursday at 515 East Freeman Street, offering 80 modern one- and two-bedroom apartments for seniors 62 and older.
The facility is within walking distance of the Avondale MARTA station and addresses a local shortage of affordable housing.
