Good morning, Decatur.

On Feb. 24, Decide DeKalb hosted an online discussion on county economic developments.

Leaders reviewed projects like Lulah Hills, a new Flatiron Dragados headquarters at Perimeter Summit, and Tax Allocation District efforts such as Candler Crossing — all part of a new five-year plan to boost jobs and community growth.

On Feb. 26, 10-year-old Kendall Rae Johnson led a Read for the Record event at Scottdale Early Learning Centers—she celebrated early literacy by reading See Marcus Grow and hosting a farm-animal meet-and-greet.

Jumpstart for Young Children partnered with Kendall to share 100 copies of her book with students and families.

FurKids introduced a puppy named Freddie for adoption yesterday + local families can visit furkids.org for more details.
