  • Dr. Lenise Bostic resigned as principal of DeKalb Preparatory Academy on March 4 — school officials said no reason was provided and Chief Academic Officer Dr. Brian Merritt now serves as interim head of schools.  Fox 5 Atlanta
  • The wife of the Georgia Speaker played a key role in a landmark literacy overhaul that will update Decatur-based schools' reading programs, officials said. The new plan is set to boost student achievement in local classrooms.  Atlanta News First

  • Edens is redeveloping the former North DeKalb Mall into Lulah Hills, a 78-acre mixed-use district that will include retailers such as Anthropologie (and Refuge Coffee) as new dining and shopping options.
