  • Popular local restaurant Rising Son in Avondale Estates will close on March 29 after 10 years in business due to rising rents and lingering road construction impacts (Decaturish reported). Its owner will shift focus to a new eatery, Babygirl, in East Lake.  Atlanta News First

  • DeKalb County School District is considering reconfiguring schools to house either pre-K—8 or 6—12 grades to better use facilities. The proposal, in early discussion, may lead to closing more than two dozen schools in coming years.  The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
