- ➤ Two men were taken into custody on Sunday morning at a home on the 2500 block of Boulder Springs Point — after a domestic argument turned deadly when 46-year-old Walter Marks shot a 45-year-old woman and a 34-year-old man — and police responded at around 9 a.m. charging Marks with aggravated assault while another man faces charges for firearm possession by a convicted felon and making false statements. - ➤ Seven DeKalb County high school students graduated from the six‐month Model Atlanta Regional Commission youth leadership program after studying issues like housing costs, water use, and transport challenges. - ➤ Federal officials announced that Emory University is among 45 universities being investigated for alleged race-exclusionary practices in graduate programs & for potentially violating civil rights obligations under Title VI. - ➤ At its March 14 meeting, the Decatur Downtown Development Authority approved a $13 million tax incentive for redeveloping the Baby Kroger site into a mixed-use project featuring 358 residential units, 642 parking spaces, and 26,000 square feet of retail space—pending a lease with a grocery store in late-stage negotiations. Developers Pope and Land and AMLI Residential will issue bonds to fund the $144 million project, which is expected to generate about $28.5 million in tax revenue over the next 10 years. Decaturish
