- ➤ During Monday's storms, a tornado touched down near three DeKalb schools — Browns Mill Elementary, Salem Middle, and Bowie Elementary. Parents questioned the 15-minute bus hold while school officials said weather conditions did not meet the threshold for a longer delay. Atlanta News First

- ➤ DeKalb County Beautification Unit is hosting free Scrap Tire Amnesty Day events on Saturday, Mar. 21 and Saturday, Mar. 28 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Tax Commissioner’s Office parking lot, 4380 Memorial Drive — residents can drop off up to 10 passenger tires to reduce illegal dumping.
