- ➤ Atomic Entertainment will start phase two development at Pullman Yards in Kirkwood this August to add a 360-space parking deck and about 40,000 square feet of convention space for a $15 million project that will last about one year — Kirkwood residents have raised concerns over traffic, noise, and safety while the Decide DeKalb Development Authority approved a revised loan agreement to support the project during its March 19 meeting. - ➤ DeKalb County Police are asking for help to locate two additional suspects in connection with the homicide of 26-year-old Emile Field-Marshall, who died after being shot on the 6000 block of Covington Highway on March 7 at 6:28 p.m.—two individuals have already been charged with murder. - ➤ On March 15, vandals defaced about 35 headstones at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church cemetery in DeKalb County by spray painting hateful messages—community members are raising nearly $10,000 for repairs while urging DeKalb County Police to find the perpetrators. Atlanta News First

- ➤ GDOT said it will study routes, stations + operators for a rail line connecting Atlanta and Savannah and is asking local residents for feedback to shape the plan. The study could affect travel options as the project moves forward. WSB-TV
- ➤ The DeKalb County Tax Commissioner’s Office at 4380 Memorial Drive in Decatur will extend its hours from March 24 to April 1 from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m. Monday through Friday—homeowners are encouraged to schedule appointments to avoid delays when applying for homestead exemptions. - ➤ Decatur was named the third UNICEF Child Friendly City in the U.S. by UNICEF USA after meeting five key priorities on safety, access and youth inclusion—joining Houston and Minneapolis in the honor. WSB-TV
