- ➤ Decatur native Namuhaha Mapenzi earned the Wester Golf Association’s Chick Evans Scholarship, a four-year housing and tuition award for caddies, after completing the seven-week WGA Caddie Academy (including summers at Sunset Ridge Country Club) and joining a program that supports more than 1,200 scholars at 27 universities. - ➤ Decatur City Schools and residents are split on how to fund a $23 million early childhood learning center (and related school changes could bring the total to $52 million). The Georgia Senate passed a measure requiring a voter referendum in Decatur, and the bill now moves to the House. WSB-TV
