  • The Georgia Supreme Court ruled that jailhouse recordings can be used as evidence in the murder trial of two defendants accused in the 2019 killing of a Clark Atlanta University student—no trial date has been set.  FOX 5 Atlanta

  • Arbor Montessori School broke ground on a new facility at 2998 Lavista Road as it brings together its schools from Lavista Road and Scott Boulevard and more than 100 community members celebrated the milestone on March 15.   • DeKalb County CEO Lorraine Cochran-Johnson said on April 9 that the Atlanta Regional Commission awarded $4 million from the federal Surface Transportation Block Grant Program to improve intersections at North Druid Hills Road with Lavista Road and Clairmont Road. The projects are part of a corridor study to fix traffic and make roads safer—changes are expected to ease congestion and reduce crashes.  On Common Ground News
