DeKalb County police are searching for Malachi, a 13-year-old boy last seen on April 5 in the 3300 block of Evans Mill Road getting into a red 1990 Honda Accord—he was about 5 feet 3 inches tall, weighed roughly 150 lbs and wore a white tank top, tan pants and black Puma shoes.

Decatur will begin the 2nd and 3rd Avenue Sewer Improvement Project on April 21, with construction expected to last nine months until January 2026—work will occur from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday excluding major holidays.

The project will replace about 1,900 feet of gravity sewer main and may lead to increased noise and traffic during work hours.
