- ➤ Police said a man in his 30s died after being shot early Friday near a DeKalb County food mart and was later found collapsed on the 400 block of N Indian Creek Drive, with investigators believing he was first shot near a food mart on the 4800 block of Memorial Drive less than half a mile away as the investigation continues. - ➤ Police said a man was fatally shot near DeKalb County food mart—his body was later found collapsed half a mile from where the shooting occurred on April 12th. WSB-TV
- ➤ DeKalb County police are searching for Malachi, a 13-year-old boy last seen on April 5 in the 3300 block of Evans Mill Road getting into a red 1990 Honda Accord—he was about 5 feet 3 inches tall, weighed roughly 150 lbs and wore a white tank top, tan pants and black Puma shoes. WSB-TV
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Decatur will begin the 2nd and 3rd Avenue Sewer Improvement Project on April 21, with construction expected to last nine months until January 2026—work will occur from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday excluding major holidays. The project will replace about 1,900 feet of gravity sewer main and may lead to increased noise and traffic during work hours. DeKalb County
