  • Metro Atlanta’s Slater Nalley advanced to the top eight on American Idol after paying tribute to Reba McEntire on May 4. The top eight will perform songs of the judges live on Channel 2 today at 8:00 p.m.—fans will vote to cut the group to six with a judge-saved singer completing the lineup.  WSB-TV

  • The Decatur City Commission will meet today at 7:30 p.m. in person at Decatur City Hall at 509 N. McDonough Street and online via Zoom to consider certifying an estimated rollback millage rate of 11.2 mills for property tax bills. The meeting will include a dinner session at 5:45 p.m. and a work session at 6:30 p.m. focused on equity and innovation while also reviewing agreements with Georgia Power and a resolution from Beacon Hill Black Alliance for Human Rights.  Decaturish
