  • Police responded at around 6:20 p.m. on Sunday to a shooting on the 5600 block of Hillandale Drive in DeKalb County and found a man with a gunshot wound who died at the scene.  Atlanta News First

  • DeKalb County held the State of DeKalb Animals Address on May 16, where officials and advocates like attorney Cole Thaler stressed the need for pet-friendly homeless shelters and housing to help families facing evictions.   • Georgia agriculture officials confirmed that locally grown cucumbers are safe to eat—despite a recall of Florida-grown cucumbers linked to Salmonella—and inspectors visited stores on May 25th to remove recalled products.  Fox 5 Atlanta
