- ➤ Backpack Buddies of metro Atlanta served its one millionth meal as part of its program that delivers weekend food to children at 50 Title I schools in Gwinnett, Cobb, Fulton and DeKalb counties* The nonprofit, launched in 2022 and growing from 800 to 2,500 meals per week, will continue helping kids combat hunger. - ➤ A man was shot and killed Sunday night at The Reserve Apartment Homes on Hillandale Drive in DeKalb County—police stated he died at the scene while the investigation continues. FOX 5 Atlanta
- ➤ State troopers tried pulling over driver Landis Bernard Stewart-Moore today for speeding in Decatur but he led officers on a high-speed chase—colliding with a street sign, tree and parked vehicles before he fled on foot and was later charged with felony fleeing and other offenses. WSB-TV

- ➤ Georgia Agriculture Commissioner Tyler Harper said Georgia Grown cucumbers are safe — despite a recent voluntary recall by Florida’s Bedner Growers linked to a Salmonella outbreak.
