- ➤ Two women were hospitalized after escaping a house fire at 4175 Ballina Dr. in Decatur & firefighters said one was treated for smoke inhalation while the other received care for minor burns as efforts to rescue two cats proved unsuccessful. Atlanta News First

- ➤ Local business owners say the ongoing construction on Briarcliff Road is cutting into sales because customer access is very limited—business owners report that closures and delays have forced some to contemplate reducing staff. The Georgia Department of Transportation said work around the intersection of Lavista and Briarcliff roads will not finish until summer 2027 due to right of way and easement issues. FOX 5 Atlanta
