- ➤ A Lithonia man was found guilty of aggravated assault, aggravated battery, and firearm offenses for shooting an unarmed man at the Allatoona Lake day use area on June 16, 2024, leaving the victim with major internal injuries and a two-week hospital stay—Hall is set to be sentenced on July 17. - ➤ On Saturday, a 19-year-old girl was shot at Chapel Hill Park on Lehigh Blvd in Decatur and remains in critical condition — two others have been treated for non-life-threatening injuries while police have not yet identified the victims. Atlanta News First
- ➤ The family of 22-year-old Shann’Trell Bell said she was shot in the back while leaving a car meetup on Columbia Drive Tuesday night and is asking the shooter to turn himself in after holding a Saturday vigil at Perkerson Park with red and white balloons, candles and a GoFundMe campaign for her burial.
