- ➤ Police are investigating several shootings over the Fourth of July weekend as a 19-year-old in Decatur remains in critical condition after being shot at Chapel Hill Park Saturday night—two women were injured and additional incidents were reported in LaGrange, Atlanta and Mableton, where one man later died. - ➤ Police reported that a man in his 30s was fatally shot outside a home on 2649 Parrish Court in DeKalb County around midnight Sunday — investigators are searching for the suspect and motive. Atlanta News First

- ➤ Georgia ranked last in caregiver availability with only 7 caregivers per 1,000 residents, and a student-led nonprofit called CareYaya is connecting college students to local families who need help with tasks like light housekeeping and medication reminders.
