- ➤ Georgia’s largest diaper bank is facing a critical supply shortage—high costs have made it hard for the organization to buy enough essential supplies for local families. The bank will seek more donations and funding to help meet the growing need. WSB-TV
- ➤ The family of DeKalb County Fire Rescue Firefighter Preston Fant, who died on Sept. 8 while fighting a blaze in Stone Mountain, has received over $66,000 from donations to support his wife and children. - ➤ At its Sept. 15 meeting, the Decatur City Commission renewed the downtown ambassador program—an arrangement with Block by Block that provides cleaning, safety, and visitor services in downtown—to run for a maximum of $607,000.
