- ➤ Georgia Lions Lighthouse Foundation will host its eighth Evening in the End Zone fundraiser on Oct. 7 at the Chick-fil-A Football Hall of Fame in Atlanta to raise funds for vision care for uninsured and underinsured neighbors. The sold-out event is expected to challenge last year’s record of raising over half a million dollars by 500 fans and will include auctions, a seated dinner and awards — such as the Lighthouse Beacon of Hope Award for outstanding vision healthcare service. - ➤ DeKalb County is asking volunteers to join its Judicial Citizen Panel Review Program that helps judges review cases of children in foster care—volunteers must be 21 or older, pass a background check, and attend virtual sessions with interviews running until Oct. 27 and training on Oct. 30.
