- ➤ The annual Black Child Book Fair will be held at the Exchange Recreation Center in Decatur to let Black children see themselves in the stories they read; founder Darryl Harvey previewed the setup on October 11 and the free, family-friendly event invites everyone to attend. Fox 5 Atlanta
REAL ESTATE NEWS
- ➤ Developers unveiled a $350 million plan for 800 new homes on 18 acres east of Decatur in Avondale Estates—an effort that includes single-family houses, townhomes and apartments—and promised to preserve the village's historic character. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
