- ➤ MARTA unveiled a special bus on Oct. 30 to honor Outkast with their 25th anniversary album Stankonia and their Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction tomorrow—this bus will run across the city for a year. - ➤ Decatur became the first city in Georgia to earn Bird City certification after meeting over 20 requirements — the award was approved on Sept. 15 and celebrated in Legacy Park in mid-October. City officials and local partners have worked to protect over 170 bird species by reducing light pollution, updating street lighting, and hosting weekly bird walks. The Champion

- ➤ The FAA has ordered a cut in air traffic beginning today—starting with a 4% reduction at 40 major cities including Atlanta—to help controllers keep flights safe during the government shutdown. Airlines such as American, United, and Delta said they will try to notify travelers of flight changes and refunds, while aviation lawyer Alan Armstrong advised delaying travel to avoid problems.
