Good morning, Decatur.

On Thanksgiving morning, Geoff King's childhood home on Glenhaven Drive off Covington Highway caught fire after he heard a popping noise in the basement—firefighters spent hours extinguishing the blaze and checking for hot spots, and no one was injured.

DeKalb County rescuers saved an 83-year-old man who had fallen in his motel room and lain there for days with his dog Buster by his side—they later returned to rescue the dog from the same room.

A White House replica in DeKalb County at 3687 Briarcliff Road is for sale at $35 million, featuring a 16,500 square foot main residence with an Oval Office plus a 6,700 square foot West Wing guest house converted from a church.

The property includes six bedrooms, luxury spaces like a banquet hall and outdoor kitchen, and is represented by SERHANT agents.
