- ➤ Mary Frances Edwards, a pioneering education leader on the DeKalb County Board of Education, passed away on Nov. 29 at age 80. A memorial service will be held Saturday, Dec. 6 at 1 p.m. at Baha’i Unity Center (2370 Wesley Chapel Road) in Decatur. On Common Ground News

- ➤ DeKalb County Commissioners approved a $45 million project by Sky Harbour to build eight hangars on 12.8 acres at PDK airport, with plans to reposition aircraft to reduce noise and boost revenue.
