- ➤ Firefighters evacuated Villa Apartments on Buford Highway after a fire displaced more than 20 families with no injuries reported (the incident occurred amid a cold weather advisory). Fox 5 Atlanta
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ DeKalb County launched a $250K cleanup targeting illegal tire dumping at eight sites. Officials removed over 37,000 tires from residential, commercial, and wooded areas as four sites were cleaned and two warrants issued while work continues on the remaining four sites. Fox 5 Atlanta
- ➤ Residents gathered Saturday along Flat Shoals Parkway to voice concerns over a proposed one million sqft data center in Ellenwood — critics warned of potential health and noise risks — as county commissioners will vote on new regulations Dec. 16. Atlanta News First
