ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ DeKalb County removed more than 37,000 illegally dumped tires this year and police secured warrants for suspects; county officials plan to press lawmakers for tougher penalties and will launch a tire collection program in the first quarter of 2026. The crackdown targets dump sites in wooded areas, ravines, creeks, and neighborhoods to protect public health + the environment. WSB-TV
