- ➤ A metro couple in Decatur fought a high water bill after an ANF investigation uncovered a billing error caused by an autopay glitch that dropped their credit score, and the utility company corrected the mistake. Atlanta News First

- ➤ DeKalb County School District announced that six schools — Cross Keys High, Chapel Hill Elementary, Indian Creek Elementary, Oak View Elementary, Towers High, and Woodridge Elementary — exited the federal CSI and TSI designations. - ➤ On Dec. 7, Diijon DaCosta was named County School Board Member of the Year by the Georgia Association of Black County Officials during its President’s Reception, recognizing his efforts on the DeKalb County School Board which serves Stone Mountain and Stephenson communities. - ➤ DeKalb District Attorney Sherry Boston announced on Monday, Dec. 15 that 17 young adults graduated from the 2025 STRIDE pretrial diversion program in Decatur. The 12-month program requires counseling, full-time work or school, and community service to help participants avoid future offenses and keep civic opportunities open. On Common Ground News
- ➤ DeKalb County commissioners approved a $45 million plan — adding eight jet hangars at DeKalb-Peachtree Airport on December 16; Sky Harbour said the expansion will reduce noise by cutting flights while neighbors voice concern over pollution.
