- ➤ After months of debate, DeKalb County will let all elementary students have a 30-minute recess each day by January—replacing the 15-minute break that was cut to extend literacy instruction. Parents supported the change with a petition that gathered over 2,800 signatures. FOX 5 Atlanta
- ➤ DeKalb County parents weighed in on the century-old Druid Hills High School as the board considers three options—modernizing the school on Haygood Drive for $100 million or building a new facility at either the DeKalb School of the Arts or Druid Hills Middle School at an added $80 million.
